Akseli Gallen-Kallela: After the Opera Ball Gallen-Kallela studied in Paris between 1884 and 1889. His works of this period include many views of the streets, cafés, bars and celebrations. The colourful life of the metropolis fascinated Gallen-Kallela, and he recorded his experiences on canvas in a fresh and vivid manner. |
