The Gallen-Kallela Museum is in a beautiful scenic
location on Laajalahti Bay on the border of Helsinki and Espoo, only
10 kilometres from the centre of Helsinki. It can reached via the Turunväylä
motorway and the Kehä I ring road. There is also a route for pedestrians
and cyclists leading to the museum from Munkkiniemi in Helsinki and
Ruukinranta in Espoo.
Instructions
Take tram no. 4 from the centre of Helsinki to Munkkiniemi. Get
off at Laajalahden aukio and walk approximately 2 kilometres through
Munkinpuisto Park. There is also bus service on weekdays from Munkkiniemen
puistotie.
Buses 205 (Kamppi) and 206 (Elielinaukio) to the Vermonsolmu stop, from which there is an approximately 1 km walk.
Bus no. 106 to the Ruukinranta junction on the Kehä I ring road, followed by a
roughly 2 kilometre walk.
