This collection consists of some 250 oil paintings by Akseli Gallen-Kallela and over 500 drawings from all periods of his oeuvre. The museum has an almost complete collection of prints by Gallen-Kallela, along with his work in commercial graphics such as posters. The art collection includes reliefs and works of sculpture by Gallen-Kallela and the various sectors of applied art are well represented. The museum’s art collection also contains some works by other artists.
