Hackathon takes over Tarvaspää studio castle!
The Gallen-Kallela Museum welcomes you to the two-day hackathon event at Tarvaspää February 20–21, 2015. The culture hackathon is part of the event series Hack4fi – Hack your heritage, during which Finnish open cultural heritage data and digital content is put to use.
The museum invites to participate both experienced hackers as well as new beginners. Come along and have an impact on existing data on the web: write Wikipedia articles, work on maps, tag photos on Flickr, or create your own project!
The museum makes available Akseli Gallen-Kallela’s photographic collection on Flickr, and participants will have at hand an ample amount of publications on Gallen-Kallela as well as unpublished sources from the museum’s collections.
Fun additional activities – including guided tours and plenty of food – are to be expected. Welcome!
